Years ago, I started writing bits of advice to myself on cards at work. Over time, I collected the ones that were the most useful, and wrote them down on cards. I kept this pack of cards on my desk as it grew (and shrunk, because some of it wasn’t useful). If I've been down at work, or struggling with something I can’t solve, or just wondering if it was all worth it, I shuffle the pack and pull a card out. Surprisingly, most of the time, the advice on the card works. And if it doesn’t, I pull another card, and that normally does the trick. Here are the ones I’ve held on to.

Share and use these as you want. If you like them, and think they’re useful, let me know.

Where’s Number 2?
You might have noticed that there’s no tip number 2. When I was designing these cards I looked at that one again, and realised that it wasn’t useful for me any more. I couldn’t connect to it. So, I took it out.
